Join the Hands-On Relief Movement
At Community Cure, our boxes are only as strong as the neighbors who look after them. We rely on volunteers to build, stock, maintain, and champion community boxes across our neighborhoods, ensuring that fresh food, hygiene essentials, and dignity remain within walking distance for everyone who needs them.
Whether you have one hour a month or want to adopt a neighborhood box year-round, there is a meaningful place for you here.
Ways You Can Help
1. Neighborhood Box Steward
Be the heartbeat of your local Community Cure box.
What you’ll do: Regularly check on a designated box in your neighborhood, wipe down shelves, rotate inventory, and report when supplies are running low.
Commitment: 15–20 minutes, 2–3 times per week.
Best for: Individuals, parents walking with kids, and local residents who live near a box.
2. Supply Driver & Restocker
Keep the supply pipeline moving from collection points straight to the shelves.
What you’ll do: Pick up food and hygiene donations from partner hubs or local collection drives and deliver them to boxes that need an immediate refill.
Commitment: Flexible; 1–2 scheduled runs per month (vehicle required).
Best for: Mobile volunteers, students, and weekend helpers.
3. Box Builder & Maintenance Specialist
Build the physical infrastructure that shelters food and supplies through all weather conditions.
What you’ll do: Assemble new wooden pantry boxes from pre-cut kits, install post anchors, or handle minor repairs like latch fixes, repainting, and weatherproofing.
Commitment: Project-based weekend build days (basic DIY/tool familiarity helpful, but not required).
Best for: Handy volunteers, DIY enthusiasts, and trade apprentices.
4. Community Drive Organizer
Rally your workplace, school, place of worship, or neighborhood block.
What you’ll do: Host a targeted food or toiletry drive using our turn-key collection kit to gather the high-demand items our boxes need most.
Commitment: One-off community campaigns.
Best for: Student clubs, local civic organizations, and neighborhood leaders.
